Iguana Business Consultancy

Why are you called Iguana?

Our Business Director was sat on a beach in the Galapagos Islands a couple of years ago watching one and was struck by two features that linked to the best consultants he’d seen. Firstly that they change appearance to fit in with the landscape they find themselves in. Too often business consultants sit outside the client and expect others to listen simply because they’re the ‘experts’. Iguana’s consultants regard themselves as part of the team and need to adapt to the clients cultural and physical landscapes quickly. Secondly, he rather liked being in the Galapagos – and reflected that if more of us focused on what we love doing outside of work then we’d redouble our efforts to secure the best outcome for our clients quickly so we too can pursue our other dreams. So now you know.

Why do you talk about your consultant’s outside interests?

Our experience is that the people thrive in business are successful outside of it too. Their interests – whether sporting, political, cultural or external businesses are a reflection of their energy and ability in the round.
We believe that ‘supply chain is a people business’ – and that through our connections and contacts outside of our contracts, we can often introduce new contacts for the mutual benefit of our clients.

What do you bring to the party?

A combination of heads and hearts. Like other consultancies, we’ll bring our experience and skills from previous roles, our records of achievement from elsewhere – and apply them to help deliver your priorities.
But more than that, by hiring Iguana, you’re hiring consultants who will bring their energy and commitments to your organisation

What do you mean by ‘Customer focused’?

Exactly that: at the core of all we do is adding value to our client’s businesses.

In short, if we think we can’t add value to a piece of work, you won’t see us bidding for it. If we believe a project is bad for the client, we’ll say so.
And we’re confident enough that you’ll notice the benefit of our approach to put our money where our mouth is.
